The male genitals develop during puberty and start to produce the male sex hormone testosterone. Testosterone makes the testes start to produce sperm, production of body hair, breaking of voice and development of muscle.
The testes are outside the body, as the body temperature is too high to produce and store sperm.
The male production system has to be checked regulary to keep the body healthy. If having problems with the urinal or genital tract, men have to contact a urologist (german: „Urologe“) at once.

Testical cancer

Most testicular cancer cases are found by men themselves when doing a self-examination or by accident. The testicles are smooth, oval-shaped, and rather firm. Men who examine themselves routinely become familiar with the way their testicles normally feel. Any changes in the way they feel from month to month should be checked by a doctor, preferably a urologist.
